The meadows in Maine are living watercolor paintings and I wanted to interpret that feeling. I tried a new watercolor technique using a strip of liquid watercolors, pulling the color with a water saturated hake brush; the water moving the paint all over the paper. Once dry, I went back in to pull up color with water and then create depth by laying additional color layers as each dried. I want the viewer to get lost in the colors and feel as though they could move through the field.
